The Disney Partner Hotel

This is the continuation of my previous blog post One day in Paris.

After a magnificent day of exploring Paris, we arrived at the Vienna House Dream Castle, a Disneyland partner hotel. We drove for about two hours from downtown Paris to the hotel. Although we only had to drive 50 kilometres, we still spent two hours driving because, you know, driving about in Paris takes time and patience.

The pictures of the hotel did not lie, from the outside the hotel seems huge, with lots of castle flair. At the reception we were welcomed very friendly and we could quickly go to our room. I must admit that the room did not really match my taste, but in some way it was kinda fun for one night. The theme of our large room, equipped with not one, but two double beds, was inspired by the three musketeers. After all the kitschy, child-friendly, fairytale interior fitted into the Disneyland atmosphere just fine. Furthermore, our room was clean, as was the bathroom and we were provided with nice products of L’Occitan. Earlier that day we had planned to relax at the spa and wellness of the hotel, but unfortunately we didn’t have enough time, so we decided to have a large pizza and some drinks at the cozy hotel lounge bar.

Walt Disney Studios Park

We slept very well at the hotel and got up early to make the most out of a very exciting day that lied ahead of us! Most importantly it was my hubby’s birthday and we could spend this beautiful day at Disneyland, what more could you dream of? The hotel offers shuttles to Disneyland, which we decided to use and in a quick ride we stood right in front of the park. It was the third time for me actually, but still I was very excited.

We were both so happy when we arrived. Happy people everywhere, fairytale music, the perfect decor; it’s like you’re entering a different world. That feeling is so amazing, you just relive your childhood dreams all over again. We decided to explore the Walt Disney Studios Park first, because I had never been there before. The first thing to do near the entrance of the park was obviously buying some Minnie Mouse ears, which nicely stayed on my head for the entire day. Our favorite ride of all at the Walt Disney Studios Park was definitely the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster starring Aerosmith. In less than three seconds you are propelled into darkness at 100km/h. I really wanted to go on the best-known attraction on this side of the park, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, but because of Cédrics vertigo we had to cancel that plan.

Disneyland Park

Around noon we headed for the second part of the park, Disneyland Park. While walking down the amazing main street of the park and with the Sleeping Beauty Castle in distance, you really get a magical feeling inside. By then we were starving, so we decided to eat some delicious tacos and fajitas at a Mexican restaurant inside the park.

The waiting times in the park weren’t too long so we could go on many attractions. We also saw all the princesses, princes and other Disney characters during the Disney Parade. What I loved most about Disneyland Park is, of course, the Sleeping Beauty Castle and the Space Mountain. At the end of the day, the park had one final piece of magic up its sleeve, a Frozen-themed fireworks and light show. I was really happy, that day and during the whole trip to Paris, having time with the one I love most.
