Early May, Spring is really shining now. I love to see mother nature change every season. Trees are in full blossom and their leaves seem to be getting greener with each passing day. Birds are singing their song from early morning until late at night. Days are getting longer. People start living their lives outside again, I mean I do. Life is so much nicer when the sun is out.
Here in Belgium the weather is quite manic. One day it’s smoking hot outside, the next you’re shivering under a heavy coat, taking shelter from the rain. Because of the rapidly changing weather, I thought it would not hurt to buy myself a checkered woolen (!) cloak in full Springtime. The perfect excuse, thanks to the Belgian weather. Another reason why I bought this pretty coat is because of the ridiculous discount. Win! I just couldn’t resist…
“Loafers are must have Spring shoes in your wardrobe.”
The jeans I’m wearing is one I recently bought at H&M. Perfect fit, only the length wasn’t really what I wanted it to be. So I just simply took some scissors and cut off the legs of the jeans a little, at ankle height. Jeans with an ankle cut will optically lengthen the legs. Yay, great DIY for people with shorter legs like me!
To finish this look I chose to wear coloured loafers. Loafers are must have Spring shoes in your wardrobe. Bright red loafers are perfectly tailored to a basic, neutral coloured outfit to give it that little extra.
